Day 5🙏 grateful
Final Day - Coming Full Circle
July 19, 2024 sunny 280 km
The last day of any trip is always bittersweet. Woke up early to watch one more sunrise before packing up.
The route home took me through some of the most beautiful countryside I have seen. Fields of wildflowers, ancient forests, and quiet country roads. Took my time, stopping whenever something caught my eye.
Stopped for lunch at the same cafe where I had breakfast on day one. The owner remembered me and we chatted about my journey. She drew me a map to a scenic viewpoint I would have otherwise missed.
The viewpoint was worth the detour - a panoramic view of everything I had ridden through over the past five days. Sat there for an hour, just reflecting on the adventure.
Rolled into home just as the sun was setting. Tired, dusty, and incredibly grateful. Already planning the next adventure.
