Woke up at 5 AM, packed the last of my gear, and hit the road just as the sun was rising. The air was crisp and fresh, perfect riding weather. Stopped for breakfast at a small roadside cafe where I met a couple of other riders heading the same direction. The first 200 km were mostly highway, but the scenery started getting interesting after lunch. Rolling hills, small villages, and the occasional glimpse of mountains in the distance. Found a great campsite by a river. Set up camp, made some coffee, and watched the sunset paint the sky in shades of orange and pink. This is exactly why I ride.
Highlights
Meeting fellow riders at breakfast First glimpse of the mountains Perfect campsite by the river
Challenges
Strong headwind in the afternoon Got a bit lost finding the campsite
